Reflections – River Exe.

We were recently walking along the River Exe in Devon when I noticed the lovely reflections of the fine branches of a willow tree. The pattern interested me, as I thought it would suit the cloisonne style of painting that I had been experimenting with. Cloisonne is a post-impressionist technique where well-define areas are filled with a single colour. I chose various shades of blue.

The resulting painting is only 30 x 30 cm so would best suit a small wall. ‘Reflections – River Exe’ is a contemporary piece that would suit a modern apartment or home. It is ready to hang.
