This painting went through several metamorphoses in a few hours and certainly didn’t turn out the way I had originally intended. However, sometimes you just have to let things happen.
I really admire how Gerhard Richter explained his abstract art “To talk about paintings is not only difficult but perhaps pointless, too. You can only express in words what words are capable of expressing, what language can communicate. Painting has nothing to do with that.. Painting is another form of thinking” (Quote, 1970’s; from the documentary ‘Gerhard Richter – Painting’, Corrinna Belz, 2011).
The construction is canvas stretched over a wooden frame which is not visible. It is ready to hang.
