I based this sepia ink painting on a photo I took in January 2020 whilst on a boat on Lake Gal Oya, a wonderful nature reserve in southern Sri Lanka. I did the painting almost exactly a year later, a year that has seen worldwide changes and hardships to so many people, especially to those who relied on tourism.
